EUTC Webinar on Satellites

EUTC is pleased to announce an exclusive webinar on March 26, from 15:00 to 16:30 CET, where leading industry experts will discuss the current applications, challenges, and future developments of satellite services for utilities.

EUTC Webinar: The Power of Flexible and Composable Private Networks

EUTC was proud to announce the webinar “The Power of Flexible and Composable Private Networks”, organised in collaboration with HPE, which was held on September 26, 2024 from 14:30 to 15:30 CET.

Participants joined us for an insightful hybrid webinar session where we explored how to define a composable and evolutive wireless solution with high resiliency objectives. Leveraging the innovative solutions from HPE Aruba Networking, based on technology from Athonet, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise acquisition we delved into the practical aspects of building and maintaining robust private networks. This session also showcased HPE’s unique capabilities, offering a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and real-world applications of these cutting-edgetechnologies

Critical Communication World 2024

The European Utilities Telecom Council (EUTC) General Secretary Julian Stafford , and the Chief Technology Officer of EUTC, Jürgen Tusch, attended the Critical Communication World 2024 (Dubai) from May 14 to May 16.

Juergen Tusch joined the panel “Discussing IoT for Critical Communications – Use Cases and Applications ” on May 14, 2024, and moderated the panel “Cyber Securing Utility Telecommunications Critical Infrastructures” on May 16, 2024. This last session was crucial for discussing the protection of critical infrastructure in utility telecommunications.

EUTC Webinar: CER legislation

EUTC was proud to announce the second webinar of the year. The session on Critical Entities Resilience (CER) legislation was held online on June 21, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET.

The session was moderated by Sergio Ramos Pinto, Vice-President of EUTC.

CER Legislation is being introduced throughout the EU during 2024 and will place mandatory requirements on many operators of critical national infrastructure – especially regarding the potential for cascade failure of CNI sectors and requirements for increasingly robust and resilient disaster recovery and cyber security plans. Those who joined our lunchtime webinar, heard more about how this new legislation will impact the utility sector and heard from three experts in this field.

UTCAL Summit 2024

EUTC participated in the Utilities Telecom & Technology Council America Latina (UTCAL) summit 2024 in Rio de Janeiro. Juergen Tusch, EUTC’s  Chief Technology Officer, presented on technology trends for utilities in Europe at the international panel of the conference.

The digital transformation of utilities was a major theme at the conference with 800 delegates, more than 140 speakers and an exhibition area with over 50 exhibitors.

The regulators announcement of 450 MHz to be allocated for utility use in Brazil shows that global exchange between utilities, equipment vendors and industry organizations is a real necessity to share experiences and focus developments on a global scale.

EUTC 2024 Annual Event

EUTC was delighted to celebrate the 2024 annual event on November 13 and 14, in The Hotel Brussels.

Bringing together key stakeholders for a connected Smart Grid, including Utility Telecom strategists and practitioners, institutional and policy actors, standardization and technology developers, and disruptors, the event represents a unique European Utility-focused knowledge-sharing and socializing opportunity. By addressing known challenges and inspiring future directions, it fosters actionable insights for delivering and innovating adequate Telecom solutions.

On this ocassion, EUTC was thrilled to welcome keynote speakers Mark van Stiphout from DG ENER (European Commission) and Michael Van Bellinghen from the Belgian Regulator (BIPT).

The conference provided an opportunity to focus on strategic topics, featuring the following sessions led by EUTC:

EUTC & 450 MHz Alliance Joint Conference

EUTC was delighted to announce the EUTC & 450 MHz Alliance Joint Conference focused on “LTE lessons learned”, organized in collaboration with 450 MHz Alliance and its partners, that took place in Dublin on May 28-29, 2024.

The conference gave participants the opportunity to share knowledge and updates on “LTE lessons learned” topics. Moreover, attendees could enjoy a delicious networking dinner in the Irish capital.

From enlightening keynote addresses to impactful panel discussions and boundless networking opportunities, this conference was the ideal platform for industry leaders and new comers alike. They dived deep into the 450 MHz and EUTC ecosystem, its potential, its challenges and the path forward.
